• The opening battle scene was filmed during the actual partial solar eclipse of October 25, 2022 — Villeneuve did not know an eclipse would occur that day when planning the shot.
• Paul and Feyd-Rautha's climactic duel was performed entirely by Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler without stunt doubles, including wide shots.
• The sandworm ride sequence took over three months to film on a practical rig with industrial fans blowing sand at the actors.
• Feyd-Rautha's gladiator arena sequence was shot with specially designed black-and-white infrared cameras.
• Hans Zimmer composed over 90 minutes of music before the sequel was officially greenlit to inspire Villeneuve during scriptwriting.
• Anya Taylor-Joy's role as Alia Atreides was kept secret until the London premiere in February 2024.
