Editorial Policy

How FindEdition publishes, verifies, and corrects content across news, entertainment, tools, jobs, and community.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

At a glance

FindEdition publishes content to inform readers across news, entertainment, tools, jobs, and community features on findedition.com. We check facts against credible sources, disclose AI use and commercial relationships, correct errors openly, and keep editorial decisions separate from advertising.

  • Accuracy: Claims are sourced; uncertain information is qualified or removed.
  • Transparency: Authors, sponsors, affiliates, and AI assistance are disclosed.
  • Corrections: Material errors are fixed with a clear note when needed.
  • Independence: Paid coverage is never presented as unpaid editorial.

Overview

This Editorial Policy applies to all content on FindEdition (findedition.com), including articles, entertainment guides, product and vehicle listings, recipes, job and freelancer listings, tool pages, API documentation, and community posts. It tells readers and contributors how we work and what standards we follow.

FindEdition covers many topics in one place: original articles and analysis, structured entertainment catalogs (movies, series, anime), mobiles and autos, recipes, free online tools, and a work marketplace. Shared rules apply everywhere; some sections have extra requirements — for example, news articles need verified sources, while movie pages may use licensed databases such as TMDB or OMDB alongside our own editorial text.

We do not publish content intended to mislead readers, copy others without permission, or exist only to game search rankings. Titles, descriptions, and page content should match what the reader will find on the page.

Mission & Editorial Independence

FindEdition helps people find useful news, entertainment, tools, and work opportunities in one place. Our editorial team is separate from advertising and sales. Money from ads, sponsorships, subscriptions, tips, or marketplace fees does not decide our news coverage, review scores, or how we rank editorial content.

When we have a commercial relationship with a subject, we say so (see Sponsored Content). We may still report critically on partners when the story warrants it. Staff and contributors must disclose conflicts of interest. FindEdition supports humanitarian and environmental work through its broader mission; that does not change how we report facts on those subjects.

In practice

  • Advertisers do not approve editorial articles before publication.
  • Affiliate payments do not change review scores or conclusions.
  • Press releases are not republished word-for-word without checking and adding context.
  • Health, finance, and political stories get extra review before publication.

Content Standards

Whether the piece is a long article or a short catalog entry, it should meet these basics:

Accuracy

Facts are checked against reliable sources. Statistics include date and source. Quotes are verified and credited to the speaker.

Clarity

Headlines and summaries reflect the article. We avoid misleading titles, thumbnails, or descriptions.

Fairness

Contested topics include relevant context where possible. Opinion is labeled as opinion. Harassment and hate speech are not allowed.

Accessibility

We use clear headings, alt text on images, and readable layout so content works for all readers.

We update or remove pages that are seriously outdated, duplicated without new value, plagiarized, or clearly harmful to readers.

Authors & Attribution

Readers should know who produced the content and whether they have relevant background for the topic.

  • Staff and contributor articles show a byline and, where available, a link to the author profile with bio and role.
  • Reviews and guides for mobiles, autos, recipes, and entertainment are written or reviewed by people with appropriate familiarity with the subject.
  • Technical topics are assigned to writers with suitable knowledge or checked by an editor before publication.
  • Community posts may use display names; they are not FindEdition staff editorials unless posted from an official account.

FindEdition identifies itself on the About page and in site policies. Contact details for editorial, legal, and support questions are listed at the bottom of this page.

Source Verification & Fact-Checking

Before publication, editors check important claims using, in order of preference: primary documents and direct statements; official government, academic, or institutional sources; established news outlets with a track record of corrections; and licensed databases for entertainment specs or product data. A single social media post or anonymous comment is not enough on its own for a factual claim.

For breaking news we may publish updates as facts are confirmed and label developing stories clearly. Rumor and speculation are marked as such and removed if disproven. Photos and videos are checked for context and date; manipulated media is not shown as real without saying so.

Movie, series, and anime pages combine licensed metadata with our editorial summaries. If sources disagree on dates or credits, we prefer official studio or platform information and note major conflicts when they matter to the reader.

Corrections & Updates

When we learn of a mistake:

  1. Small fixes (typos, broken links, minor clarifications) may be corrected without a formal notice; the “Last updated” date may change.
  2. Significant corrections (wrong facts, misquotes, important omissions) get an inline note explaining what changed and when.
  3. Retractions are used when the main point of an article is wrong; the page may stay online with a clear retraction notice.

Report errors to [email protected] or our Support page. We aim to reply within two business days and fix confirmed issues as soon as we can.

AI-Assisted Content

FindEdition may use AI-assisted tools for summaries, recommendations, and SEO. Human editors review published content.

AI may help with outlines, headline options, meta descriptions, translation drafts, or internal research. A human editor always reviews before anything goes live. We do not publish large batches of unedited AI text.

If AI materially helped write a published article, we say so in the footer or in an “About this article” note. On-site AI chat tools are labeled as assistants, not human experts. Content about health, law, or money includes a reminder that readers should consult qualified professionals.

Note: Do not treat AI summaries on FindEdition as medical, legal, or financial advice.

Reviews, Ratings & Entertainment

FindEdition publishes reviews for movies, series, anime, mobiles, autos, recipes, tools, and services. Scores reflect the reviewer’s honest view against criteria we state in the piece (such as value, performance, or story quality). When we combine or compare scores, we explain how.

User ratings and reviews are moderated for spam and abuse. We do not remove negative user reviews because someone paid us. Community scores, where shown, are separate from FindEdition editorial scores.

Comparison articles for phones and vehicles state how and when items were tested, since specifications change over time.

User-Generated Content

FindEdition hosts questions, comments, job posts, freelancer profiles, and user-written articles. These follow our Terms of Service and community rules. They are not official FindEdition editorial unless posted by staff.

We remove or limit content that is illegal, abusive, seriously misleading in a harmful way, spam, or infringing copyright. Users can report problems in the product or via support. Repeat offenders may lose posting access.

Jobs and services listings are submitted by users. FindEdition may verify accounts where required but does not guarantee every listing. Use normal caution before hiring, applying, or sending money.

Health, Finance & Other Sensitive Topics

Stories about health, safety, money, law, citizenship, or major public events get extra editorial review. We use qualified writers where possible, cite reputable institutions, and state clearly that our content is general information — not personal medical, legal, or financial advice.

Coverage of elections, conflicts, and public health uses multiple verified sources, puts statistics in context, and is updated when facts change. We do not publish material that promotes violence or unlawful discrimination.

FindEdition allocates part of its revenue to humanitarian and environmental causes; reporting on those areas follows the same independence rules as any other topic.
